Workout Songs

essential part of their workout, it is really the one thing that can literally take your mind off of that burning
pain in your legs as they get used to walking or running on the treadmill. Some people read a book or watch
television, but according to several surveys they are just not as effective as listening to music. The right types
of workout songs can make a huge difference in how much you enjoy your next workout.
What Type of Music?
This of course will vary from person to person depending mostly on personal tastes, but for the
most part you should be looking for music that has a fast beat and makes you want to get up and move. Soft, slow
music is not ideal as your mind and body tend to want to relax, what you need is some leg pumping get up and dance
types of music. It needs to be the type of music that motivates you to put your all into your workout, wimpy music
need not apply here.
It does not matter what genre of music you listen from oldies to pop and everything in between,
all of them have at least a few perfect workout songs that are sure to get your blood pumping. Having said this
most of the best workout songs tend to come from the pop and rock genres seem to be among the most popular with
those in the gyms these days as they tend to have the best beat and the strongest overall motivational sound to
them.
Which Ones are the Best?
Being the best is all a matter of opinion and everyone has different ideas of what their
favorites are. Among the most popular are "Eye of the Tiger" by Survivor, this was a major smash hit in 1982 and
then went on to feature in the "Rocky" movies. The fast beat and strong vocals are perfect to get you up and
moving, according to research it is the most popular workout song and can be found on millions of mp3 players in
health clubs around the world.
You cannot go wrong with Queen's "We Will Rock You" the anthem you hear in hundreds of sports
stadium across the globe. The beat alone will get your blood pump and listening to Freddy Mercury belting out the
lyrics is a sure fire motivational musical masterpiece. These are just a couple of samples that give you an idea of
the type of workout songs you should be considering.
Ideally, you should try and collect together enoughof your favorite songs and group them into
daily play lists. This way you are not constantly listening to the same songs, otherwise the whole purpose of using
music to beat the boredom does not work well at all. You can set you pace with the music by keeping the fast beats
to the middle of your workout and use the slower ones for warm up and cool down at the end of your workout. Your
work out should be fun and having a little of the right kind of music can make it not seem quite so much like work
while helping you get the exercise you need.
